So what is the point of being busy?
The key is finding a balance. Being productively engaged is generally good, but it's important to have downtime for rest, relationships, and personal interests.
Make yourself so busy until you forget to drink coffee.
Yup, this is my mantra. Lately, I realized that I don't need coffee to boost my mood, nor do I need coffee to enjoy my tasks.
Coffee is much more powerful than I thought. Coffee can keep people awake, gather people in cafes, and bring relaxation with its special aroma if you use a coffee-flavored room fragrance.
My realization about not needing coffee for mood enhancement or task enjoyment reflects a deeper understanding of personal motivation and productivity. By finding enjoyment and drive in my tasks without relying on coffee, I've tapped into intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is generally more sustainable long-term. While coffee's effects are temporary, internal drive can persist and even grow over time.
If you notice this pattern, it shows increased self-awareness without needing coffee. By not relying on coffee, I am less vulnerable to its potential negative effects. As I am not bound to coffee breaks or worried about caffeine intake timing, this mindset allows me more flexibility in my work routine.
This shift to intrinsic motivation doesn't mean I can't enjoy coffee anymore. I still like it, but now it's an optional pleasure rather than a necessary stimulant.
