Fibaa accreditation
In the global arena of higher education, accreditation by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) signifies exemplary standards in business programs. At Udayana University, the preparation phase for the Faculty of Economic and Business extended over 3.5 years, commencing with the drafting of the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) for the Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Economic Development, and Bachelor of Management programs, alongside the Master of Accounting. At the institutional level, a steering committee coordinated resources to align with FIBAA’s 10 criteria, encompassing program design, student support, and internationalization. A comprehensive curriculum audit identified deficiencies in digital competencies. In response, the institution introduced modules in data analytics and provided outcome-based education (OBE) training to 50 faculty members.
FIBAA’s virtual interviews, conducted via Zoom, involved program management, faculty, students, and alumni across three days in September 2025. Notably, Udayana University’s Faculties of Economic and Business and Tourism achieved FIBAA accreditation on September 25, 2025.
On Day 1, program management participated in a plenary session and individual interviews focused on strategic alignment. Presentations highlighted recent curriculum enhancements and budgetary commitments, with particular emphasis on funding sustainability.
On Day 2, faculty members addressed pedagogical approaches; students underscored the availability of counseling services and concerns regarding workload distribution; and alumni commended the capstone projects for their career relevance but recommended strengthened networking initiatives. Diverse perspectives validated the assertions within the SER.
On Day 3, academic staff engaged in discussions, followed by preliminary verbal feedback: commendations for robust quality assurance and stakeholder engagement, alongside recommendations to refine employer engagement metrics and integrate research more explicitly. No substantive concerns were raised, and the overall tone conveyed optimism.
